Tony Marino’s Album “Tango Silhouette” is a Vibrant Homage to His Heritage

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – 04-26-2019 ( — Tony Marino, accomplished pianist, recording engineer and composer of Latin jazz and world music, will release his 11th album, “Tango Silhouette,” in early May 2019.

The album is Marino’s second CD release of 2019 and is a much-anticipated follow-up effort to this year’s earlier release, “Family and Friends.” “Tango Silhouette” is an exhilarating tango album inspired by Marino’s maternal grandmother’s Argentinian roots. Through vibrant riffs and soulful medleys, Marino explores his family’s migration from Argentina to Italy and then to the United States. Listeners familiar with tango compositions will appreciate the album’s second musical inspiration–notable Argentine tango composer, bandoneon player and arranger Astor Piazzolla.Marino’s album is composed of 12 tracks, featuring a mixture of new compositions, medleys and newly recorded compositions. “Lucia” is dedicated to Marino’s grandmother and is a lively homage to her in 11/4 time, telling the story of her life in Buenos Aires, while the dark and moody “The Death of a Romance” will haunt listeners with thoughts of what might have been. Since Marino debuted his first original work in 1997, he has gained international acclaim and a worldwide following. His works have garnered global praise and radio play. Throughout the years, he has had the pleasure of both studying and performing with a number of talented artists, especially those concentrating on Latin rhythms. Marino has lived all across the United States and now calls Fort Wayne, Indiana home. To learn more about Tony Marino, visit tonymarino.latinjazzsounds. Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
