Tina Jo Takes Art and Fashion Photography to New Levels of Creativity

United States, New York, Syracuse – 04-25-2019 (PRDistribution.com) — When it comes to capturing the essence of fashion and art, more and more fashion brands, events and entertainment companies, and art curators are turning to Tina Jo. Based in Los Angeles, this native of South Korea is fast making a name for herself as the go-to photographer in reimagining her subjects.

Her clients are mainly based in California and New York and include artists, fashion brands and designers, art curators and galleries, entertainment businesses and magazines – even other photographers. She is also often contracted for personal portrait work by these same clients. Some of her national and international commercial customers have included Urban Outfitters, Irene’s Story, FATL, Cats Got the Cream, Vince, American Apparel, Loxely Lane and Anreko. Her work for Riot Games was seen on ESPN and in the Daily Mail, Inven Global, Forbes, Washington Post and more. Tina Jo received her bachelor’s in photography from Otis College of Art and Design in LA where she developed her photography style and aesthetic. Her work typically incorporates vibrant color, shadows and natural lighting and Tina Jo says she strives to include “surreal elements” that allow the consumer to “interpret the images in their own way.”  “I really enjoy creating images that captivate viewers in a way that makes my clients’ brands and products memorable,” said Tina Jo. “If I produce images that are beautiful to look at and inspire people to make a purchase or learn more about a client, I have succeeded on many levels.”  Tina Jo has been profiled in the About a Girl blog; and her work has been exhibited in the Los Angeles Center of Photography Gallery and Substrate Gallery and featured in magazines like GQ Korea, Cake, Kodd, Volition, Chinatown Now, Lady Gunn, Acute and more.  “The demand for my photos has been humbling. When I graduated from college, I knew I would be a photographer but I did not know that people in so many industries would be drawn to my work,” said Tina Jo. “Now, I even get to pick and choose the assignments I take. I am so fortunate to be able to wake up every morning and do what I love.”  For more information and to see examples of Tina Jo’s work, go to www.tinajo.netor www.instagram.com/iamtinajo.

About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
