The TENNESSEE STATEMENT on Corporal Punishment (a companion to the Nashville Statement)

Spank Harder Tennessee releases the “TENNESSEE STATEMENT” a corporal punishment manifesto:

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – 09-18-2017 (Press Release Jet) — Today, Extremist Supply Co & Spank Harder Tennessee release a definitive statement on corporal punishment call the “TENNESSEE STATEMENT”.   WWW.TENNESSEESTATEMENT.COM

The bible and modern science are at odds over corporal punishment. With research showing that a larger percentage of Evangelicals spank their children then the well-educated or the non-religious.  There are many National Institutes of Health curated articles that clearly display the harm created by corporal punishment including:  Anxiety Disorders, Suicide Contemplation, Drug Addiction, Alcoholism, Becoming a Wife Beater, Lower Educational Obtainment, Lower Wages, Strained Parent-Child Bond, Increased Social Isolation.

Spank Harder Tennessee wants to ask the question … Why trust science?  The bible has been around for thousands of years.  Spank Harder Tennessee and Extremist Supply Co. want Christians to accept that “Jesus never said not to beat your kid, or your neighbor’s kids.”

It is for this reason that Spank Harder Tennessee ( and the Extremist Supply Co. ( have dedicated themselves to the purpose of returning America to the ways of biblical corporal punishment. The Bible is incredibly clear on Corporal Punishment, it reads:

The one who will not use the rod hates his son, but the one who loves him disciplines him diligently. (Prvb 13:24, HCSB)

Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.  (Prvb 23:13, KJV)

Extremist Supply Co. and Spank Harder Tennessee will be conducting a national tour to promote a biblical belief on Corporal Punishment, and to promote the Godly disciplining of children through physical pain.

Tennessee Statement in Full:

As our culture discovers scientific research and starts to question the Bible’s absolute truth, let us remember that God has always endorsed child abuse.

For it is written “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

We hold this truth to be ABSOLUTE …God Killed His Son.

We now live in a time where science has amassed significant research on parental and governmental corporal punishment (spanking). We now know without a sliver of doubt that spanking is a dangerous practice, destructive to children and society.

To that we say “Spank Harder America”

Because God supports Child Abuse!

WE AFFIRM that children are born into darkness and utter depravity.

That their hearts are deceitful and wicked from birth.

WE DENY that God has instructed us not to discipline children with a Rod.

WE AFFIRM that God’s revealed will for parents is to spank their children as

the bible says “Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him

with the rod, he shall not die.”

WE DENY that spanking is destructive, and that even infrequent spanking is

correlated with: Anxiety Disorders, Suicide Contemplation, Drug Addiction,

Alcoholism, Becoming a Wife Beater, Lower Educational Obtainment,

Lower Wages, Strained Parent-Child Bond, Increased Social Isolation …

WE AFFIRM that God Himself sent Jesus to die.

WE DENY that spanking is a danger and harm to children or society.

WE AFFIRM that the divinely ordained place of a Father as the head of a

household gives him the right to discipline his children with a Rod, Switch,

Paddle or Belt.

WE DENY any teaching that spanking is not an appropriate behavior.

About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
