Polsinelli Named “Law Firm of the Year” in Health Care for the Second Time by U.S. News & World Report

“I’m extremely proud of our entire health care team of attorneys who strive for excellence each and every day,” said Polsinelli Health Care Department Chair Matthew J. Murer. “This Health Care Law Firm of the Year award is a nod to our team’s hard work and dedication to providing the best service to our clients, as well as to our firm and leadership for their strong commitment to make our health care practice a national leader in health care law.”

Ranked as the nation’s second largest health care practice by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) last year, Polsinelli’s Health Care Department has become a national leader in providing a full-range of health care law services, with a robust team of approximately 185 attorneys, which includes former in-house counsel of national health care institutions, the Office of Inspector General and former U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys. Polsinelli’s Health Care Department represents a variety of clients in the health care industry, including hospital and health systems, academic medical centers, dialysis providers, specialty pharmacy providers, health information and technology companies and senior housing and long-term care facilities, to name a few.

The 2018 “Best Law Firms” list by U.S. News & World Report also ranked 10 of Polsinelli’s national practice areas as Tier 1, the highest score, followed by seven practices with national Tier 2 rankings and 11 practices earning national Tier 3 rankings. U.S. News & World Report also recognizes outstanding practices by metropolitan areas, and 15 Polsinelli offices were included on the 2018 list.

“I’m pleased to see so many of our firm’s practice areas earned national top rankings this year, as we continue to build greater depth and breadth in many strategic service areas and industries,” said Polsinelli Chairman and CEO Russ Welsh. “I’m also proud of our 15 offices which were included on this year’s U.S. News & World Report, demonstrating the respect our attorneys have from coast-to-coast.”

Polsinelli was recognized in 152 total categories on U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 “Best Law Firms” list, demonstrating the firm’s ongoing commitment to producing the highest quality services and outcomes to clients across the country.

Polsinelli earned the highest ranking, Tier 1, for the following national practice areas in the 2018 “Best Law Firms” report:

  • Corporate Law
  • Franchise Law
  • Health Care Law
  • Litigation – Intellectual Property
  • Litigation – Labor & Employment
  • Patent Law
  • Public Finance Law

This caps off a yearlong run of national accolades for the firm, including being ranked No. 17 for client service excellence, No. 20 for brand strength and No. 10 for strongest client relationships by BTI Legal Research, the same organization that ranked the firm a Powerhouse in Intellectual Property Litigation and Complex Commercial Litigation. About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
