Miami Beach, Florida (Monday, June 1, 2020) – The COVID-19 pandemic hit the fashion industry from every angle, severely impacting companies, lives and the market. While there is still no immediate end in sight, there is an opportunity to help the industry by supporting the brands, and envisioning new ways to communicate. 

Paraiso Miami Beach will cancel its July event in Miami Beach, and take a new form, as a digital platform in light of the current environment.?e-PARAISO will run from August 20th to 22nd. The digital?platform www.ParaisoMiamiBeach.comwill be for both trade and consumer audiences; embracing the creativity and allowing designers greater flexibility in presenting their upcoming collections. 

“While we and the fashion industry at-large continue to adapt to the new-normal, we’ve had time to reflect, collaborate and innovate”, said Natalija Dedic Stojanovic, Creative director of PARAISO Miami Beach. “Our digital platform will offer a new creative output which will bring the swimwear and resort wear community together, and put the storytelling at its heart. These new digital channels will be open to a global public and trade audience, and will work as a meet-up point, offering interviews, campaign videos and digital showrooms, allowing designers to generate sales through orders for next season’s collections.” 

Alongside industry leading brand partners, Beach Bunny, Acacia, Vitamin A Swim, Luli Fama, Agua Bendita, Maaji, and Verde Limón, Paraiso engaged with a highly sophisticated, and creative technology partner theCxn for its new digital trade show, who will be supporting in unique ways, helping brands sell their collections in a more creative and visually immersive way. Paraiso digital showrooms in collaboration with theCxn will help brands reach new trade audiences, and tell their story despite the absence of physical events. 

The trade show experience is a complete digital solution for brands and designer showrooms to amplify their wholesale business with a curated, on-brand human experience that is both efficient and emotional. 

Retailers will be able to schedule virtual appointments, shop from curated collection videos, and truly connect and engage with brands from anywhere. Until now, digital trade shows were very simple in their approach, and not capable to create a fully branded environment that speaks to the brand’s DNA. Through designer introduction videos, shoppable runway presentations, virtual rack with cross-merchandising capabilities, and augmented reality to see merchandise in each retail partner’s environment, we’ll provide a unique experience each time, that will excite buyers and allow brands to stand out. 

Not only that digital swim week will be open to everyone this year, but will also have surprises such as social media giveaway contests with industry’s favorite swimwear brands, and consumer facing PARAISO Summer e-Shop curated to present the ultimate summer shop, whether you are looking for a fashionable pair of sandals, trendy bikini, or statement sunglasses. With the full support of the City of Miami Beach, a limited number of in person fashion presentations will be produced and live streamed following the strict CDC guidelines on social distancing and other methods preventing the spread of COVID-19. Sanitizing and disinfecting company Utter Clean will be contracted to keep the locations safe at all times, using electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants. All swimwear enthusiasts will be able to RSVP to these events, and attend based on capacity. 

Slowing down will give designers a chance to be very strategic about their products and to reconnect with their brand ethos. We understand the certain challenges will follow with the change; so, we will be here to help by providing information in any way that we can, and adapt our platform to best support the swimwear and beach wear industry and new market conditions.
