Greenberg Traurig’s Paul A. Del Aguila Receives ILDC Leadership Excellence in Law Award

Paul A. Del Aguila, a shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, received the Illinois Diversity Council’s(ILDC) “Leadership Excellence in Law Award” at their 4th Annual Illinois Leadership Conference October 31st at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago.

The award recognizes lawyers who have distinguished themselves through their leadership, resolve and outstanding achievements for the benefits of their clients, collaborators, and communities. In order to be nominated, an attorney must demonstrate commitment to pro bono and community service; maintain a commitment to fairness, integrity, and justice in professional collaborations and client representations; and receive a high degree of recognition from peers based on leadership excellence and professional expertise.

A member of the National Diversity Council, the ILDC is a nonprofit organization committed to fostering a learning environment for organizations to grow in their knowledge of diversity. The council affords opportunities for organizations to share best practices and learn from top corporate leaders in the areas of diversity and inclusion.

Del Aguila is an accomplished litigator, focusing his practice on commercial disputes, consumer fraud, business torts, employment litigation, trade secret litigation, products liability, medical and pharmaceutical devices, and class action defense. He has more than 15 years of litigation experience, representing local, regional, national, and international clients and protecting their interests in various state and federal courts throughout the country. Del Aguila’s wide-ranging experience has helped his clients, both large and small, navigate complex and difficult litigation, often handling high stakes and “bet the company” litigation. He also regularly advises clients on a variety of issues, such as risk management, employment matters, and product safety, providing targeted strategic counsel and guidance.
