Controversial Kratom Store Opens In San Francisco – April 10th, 2019

United States, California, San Francisco – 04-03-2019 ( — Kratom is coming to the heart of San Francisco with the grand opening of Bumble Bee Botanicals’ San Francisco store, a retail store that exclusively sells the plant kratom. Kratom, known by its scientific name as mitragyna speciosa, is a plant that is native to southeast Asia and historically was used by the local populace as an energy supplement and a pain reliever. It’s popularity and notoriety has exploded in the United States over the past 5 years. Kratom is hailed by some as a godsend for dealing with chronic pain and addiction while the Food & Drug Administration has been a vocal critic of kratom, citing the fact that kratom has not gone through their regulatory approval process and may be addictive. The kratom debate strikes at the heart of the opioid epidemic and how much freedom individuals should have in determining what is best for their health.

This is Bumble Bee Botanicals fourth retail store in the United States and first in the San Francisco bay area. Bumble Bee Botanicals’ owner, Andrew Graham, believes that kratom has helped many Americans achieve a healthier and more active lifestyle. When asked what the benefits of kratom are and why individuals should continue to have access to it, this is what he had to say.

“Despite the sometimes contentious debate around kratom, it is clear that hundreds of thousands to millions of Americans view kratom positively and believe it is beneficial for their overall health and well-being. We are excited to meet our new neighbors and provide San Franciscans with greater access to this wonderful plant.”

The new kratom only retail store is opening its doors on April 10th in the Mission District neighborhood of San Francisco. The store address and press information can be found below.

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
