CareerFoundry Introduces Comprehensive UI for UX Designers Course in Collaboration With InVision

Press Release updated: Oct 19, 2017 15:00 CEST

Today, regarded design education company, CareerFoundry, in partnership with InVision, launches its new specialization course, UI for UX Designers. The course is aimed at experienced UX designers and can be taken as a stand-alone course, or as part of CareerFoundry’s certified UX Fundamentals program.

Although companies now recognize the need to invest in UX design, there remains a lot of confusion around what a UX designer actually does. Because of this confusion, many companies expect UX designers to have both UI and UX expertise. The reality, however, is that many designers are not trained in both.

This course aims to equip UX designers with the tools and practical skills UI designers depend on. Students will learn the principles, trends, and theories behind successful UI design through practical project-based tasks. Our course writers, mentors, and tutors are passionate about this program, that prepares you for a career combining both UI and UX design, and prepares them for a career in this constantly evolving and exciting field.

About CareerFoundry

The launch marks a new chapter for Berlin-based tech school CareerFoundry, which has specialized in tech training for career changers since 2013. In 2017, they will launch a total of three specialization courses for professionals: UI for UX Designers, in collaboration with InVision, Voice User Interface Design with Amazon Alexa, and Frontend Basics for Designers.

The school will continue to offer their flagship 3 to 6-month courses which take students from beginner to proficient level in UX design, UI design, app or web development.

About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
