Elgin, South Carolina – 03-21-2019 ( — Event Designed to Expand Knowledge on the Benefits of Remanufacturing to the Economy and the Environment

In celebration of Reman Day 2019, AMBAC will host an event on April 11, 2019 for employees and family as part of an effort to educate people about the value of remanufacturing fuel injection equipment for heavy duty engines and draw attention to this critical part of the US economy. Planned activities include facility tours, a lecture of the importance of remanufacturing, as well as an appearance by the mayor of Elgin, SC Melissa Emmons. Remanufacturing is a comprehensive and rigorous industrial process by which a previously sold, leased, used, worn, or non-functional product or part is returned to a “like-new” or “better-than-new” condition, from both a quality and performance perspective, through a controlled, reproducible, and sustainable process. Reman Day is an annual national event executed at the local level supported by remanufacturers as they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase the economic and environmental benefits of remanufacturing.  To mark the event, the city of Elgin has issued a proclamation honoring April 11 as Reman Day. “There are countless advantages to remanufacturing goods, including localized job creation and waste diversion,” said Lori Murray, Marketing Manager. “The goal of Reman Day is to advocate for remanufactured goods, educate people on the advantages of reman, and collaborate with our communities in order to identify future remanufacturing leaders.” About AMBACWe fuel the hardest working engines in the world. About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
