Namgeun Lee Celebrates Almost 40 Years of Professional Excellence in Linguistics

    GWANGJU, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, November 16, 2017 — Namgeun Lee has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Supported by nearly 40 years of industry experience, Dr. Lee currently serves as a professor at Chosun University, and as a trustee with the Shalom Welfare Society. Over the years, he has served in many positions with Chosun University, including instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, dean of the College of Education, and dean of the Graduate School. Additionally, he has lent his expertise to the Linguistic Association of Korea, the University of California, Davis, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Kansas.

A graduate of Chosun University and Jeonbok National University, Dr. Lee holds a Master's degree, as well as a PhD. Throughout his career, he has written numerous research papers, including “a constraint-based approach to English conditional inversion constructions,” as well as numerous others that have been supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea. Additionally, he has had the privilege of working with The Linguistic Association of Korea, and earned a Best Teacher Prize through the College of Education at Chosun University. Looking ahead, Dr. Lee intends to expand upon his research in the field of linguistics.
