Kepler51 Analytics Releases Winter Disruption Outlook Report for Transportation

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 15, 2017 — Kepler51 Analytics today announced the release of its Winter 2017-2018 Transportation Outlook, in collaboration with MetCon, LLC. The Winter Transportation Outlook and Daily Transportation Disruption Reports are tailored by Kepler51 meteorologists specifically for the transportation industry. The downloadable report examines six different regions of the country providing details of what to expect this winter and the likely impact on transportation.

“With parallels to the winter of 1995-1996 that produced severe blizzard conditions crippling the Northeast in January 1996, the transportation industry can expect above-normal disruptions in a number of regions across the country,” said Murray Armstrong, CEO.

As a Public Benefit Corporation, the company has a charter to promote safer roads for all road users and is therefore making the Winter 2017-2018 Transportation Outlook available for free download from its website. Additionally, users can receive Daily Transportation Disruption Reports through the end of November.

Each year, 24 percent of weather-related vehicle crashes occur on snowy, slushy or icy pavement and 15 percent happen during snowfall or sleet. To help mitigate these safety and delay risks, Kepler51 monitors the entire road network, providing transportation companies with the detailed insight needed to make more informed decisions. In addition to risk analysis and visualization, the company provides solutions to help restore transportation networks safely and efficiently after severe weather events.

About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
